EVERY DAY HEMP COMPANY LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER PLANT-BASED, HOME-COMPOSTABLE PALLET WRAP FOR THE HOSPITALITY, FOOD/BEVERAGE AND TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRIES

Called Planet Wrap, the Plant-Based Product Provides an 100% Sustainable Alternative to Petroleum-Based Plastic Wrap

PORLAND, OR – June 4, 2026 – Every Day Hemp Company (EDHC) today announced it has shipped its first order of plant-based, home-compostable pallet wrap, according to company founder Beau Whitney.

“Planet Wrap is the first known plant-based pallet wrap available anywhere in the world,” Whitney said. “Which will be a boon for the hospitality, food and beverage, and transportation industries, who currently contribute almost half of all municipal solid waste in the U.S. through their packaging.”

Whitney added that there are more than 15 billion pallets shipped each year in the U.S. alone, all wrapped in plastic. EDHC’s vision is to replace that plastic wrap with a more environmentally friendly solution.

EDHC’s first order of pallet wrap was shipped to Pacific Northwest-based fast food chain Burgerville, who has a long history of sustainable business practices, including sourcing goods primarily from local suppliers.

“We intentionally wanted Burgerville to be the world’s first to utilize the pallet wrap. They have been a long time, valued client that supports local businesses like ours,” Whitney said. “We appreciate and celebrate Burgerville’s contribution to the local economy and for their vision related to environmental and sustainability issues.”

“At Burgerville, sustainability has always an important part of who we are,” said Clare Clancy, Community Outreach Manager for Burgerville. “Partnering with Every Day Hemp Company on this innovative compostable pallet wrap is an exciting opportunity to help move packaging toward more sustainable solutions. We’re proud to support local innovation that aligns with our values and helps create a healthier future for the Pacific Northwest.”

Home-compostable items decompose at lower, ambient temperatures in backyard piles without leaving behind any microplastics or synthetic residue. In contrast, commercially compostable goods require high-temperature industrial facilities to break down and there are only a limited number of industrial composters in the country. The carbon footprint of industrial compostable products is high and that was the driving force in developing Planet Wrap.

“With our global supply chains ramping up, we plan to replace as much petroleum-based plastic wrap as we possibly can,” Whitney said. “It’s our goal to reduce global plastic pollution one straw, one spoon and one pallet at a time.”

EDHC is now accepting pre-orders of this unique, eco-friendly product. The company is limiting pre-orders to 100 boxes (400 rolls) as it ramps up its volume into mass production.
